THE MILLENNIUM GUIDE TO SCOTLAND'S FOREST RESOURCE

The Caledonian Partnership is undertaking the production of a national site based inventory of Scotland's Forest Resource. Information on the location, extent, type and broad condition of all areas of woodland greater than 0.1 ha is being collected from remote sources of information. This will form part of a National Woodland Information Service available to the public on the World Wide Web due to be launched for the Highlands in September 1999 and to be completed for Scotland by mid 2000.
