WHAT DOES IT AIM TO ACHIEVE?

The Project will run until June 2005 and by then, the aim is to have increased public awareness of the importance of these sites as well as the variety of species that they contain. The sites themselves will also be in much better condition, with the damage caused by over-grazing, bracken, rhododendrons and other threats vastly reduced.

All of the sites will also have long-term management plans so that the work carried out will be sustained and lead to increased conservation value of the twelve areas.
